Embedded Ethics Lab students cooking food at the beach.

The Embedded Ethics Lab won six awards this year, so we had no way but to celebrate the only way researchers know how: by turning success into a beach BBQ.

Our findings:

• Award-winning faculty still can't estimate how much food to buy and forgets the soap!
• It takes three computer scientists to light a grill.
• Ice cream beats watermelon.
• Kabab consumption is positively correlated with awards received.

Congratulations to an incredible group of students. They have published papers, won awards, mentored others, conducted research, and somehow still showed up willing to help cook, clean, and carry 40 pounds of supplies across the park.

Six awards. Great food. Countless laughs. One very proud advisor.

More details after the department awards ceremony!
